Gunter Grass a fost SS-ist
Vorbind de scandaluri si dosare. Gunter Grass, omoritorul (literar) de nazisti, intransigentul rascolitor al memoriei anilor 30-40 in Germania, a fost un soldat in trupele de SS. Trupele includeau in general voluntari si erau considerate "pure" ideologic. Este ca si cum Ticu Dumitrescu ar recunoaste ca ar fi facut parte dintr-un grup de agitatori si "convingatori" in timpul colectivizarii.
His belated confession provoked an unprecedented storm of criticism, not least because the author was regarded as one of the country's leading moral authorities and an outspoken anti-Nazi since the late 1950s. Several of his critics, including members of Chancellor Angela Merkel's government, said Grass had discredited himself through his failure to come clean much earlier. They demanded he renounce the Nobel Prize awarded to him six years ago for his landmark novel The Tin Drum, published in 1959. Din The Independent

Gunther a recunoscut acuma doar pentru as vinde mai bine cartea aparuta recent, si nu de remuscari cum ar zice el. SS era formata din mai multe ramure politice, militare, etc. Unele din diviziile militare au facut de garda la lagare cand erau in efective putine. De fapt asta li se reproseaza SS-istilor ca stiau ce se intampla in spatele frontului si n-au facut nimic.
