Va fi razboi si in Iran?
In 2002, presedintele Bush spunea delegatilor prezenti la Adunarea Generala a Natiunilor Unite:
The conduct of the Iraqi regime is a threat to the authority of the United Nations, and a threat to peace. Iraq has answered a decade of U.N. demands with a decade of defiance. All the world now faces a test, and the United Nations a difficult and defining moment. Are Security Council resolutions to be honored and enforced, or cast aside without consequence? Will the United Nations serve the purpose of its founding, or will it be irrelevant? If the Iraqi regime wishes peace, it will immediately and unconditionally forswear, disclose, and remove or destroy all weapons of mass destruction, long-range missiles, and all related material.Cuvintele sunt mai putin importante prin ceea ce spun si mai mult prin tonul si nunatele cu care sunt spuse. E de remarcat in special expresia "daca Irakul vrea pace". Miercuri, presedintele Bush a tinut un discurs la fel de ultimativ, adresat Iranului.
The Iranian regime interferes in Iraq by sponsoring terrorists and insurgents, empowering unlawful militias, and supplying components for improvised explosive devices. The Iranian regime denies basic human rights to millions of its people, and the Iranian regime is pursuing nuclear weapons in open defiance of its international obligations. If Iran's leaders accept this offer and abandon their nuclear weapons ambitions, they can set their country on a better course. Yet so far, the Iranian regime has responded with further defiance and delay. It is time for Iran to make a choice. We've made our choice. We will continue to work closely with our allies to find a diplomatic solution, but there must be consequences for Iran's defiance, and we must not allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon.Cine are urechi de auzit sa asculte. USA incepe razboaiele cu tarile petroliere la sfarsitul iernii din Europa (January-February 1991, March 2003); pentru ca Europa depinde de tari ca Iranul si Algerul pentru combustibilul de incalzire a agentului termic.
Deci, vom vedea in februarie.
Cred ca administratia SUA foloseste un limbaj complex, elaborat, as spune criptat, dar care foloseste "unda purtatoare" simpla si inteligibila. Astfel el se adreseaza atat celor care au nevoie de o identificare a Raului si a Binelui cat si celor care inteleg ca "zarurile au fost aruncate". Pe mine ma impresioneaza (si aflu ca asta te preocupa si pe tine) imensa masinarie care ne prepara "realitatea", asa cum cineva ar asterne secunda urmatare pe care va pasi umanitatea. Cred ca importante sunt punctele de intersectie, drumul intre doua puncte fiind oarecum, la alegere.
Deci, va fi razboi. Morti, distrugeri. Dar noi ne-am cam obisnuit cu asta. Sticla rece a ecranului ne amorteste. Nu ireversibil, sper.
